Being a psychologist has had a lot of influences on me. It gives me a better understanding of people and why we act the way we do. That helps to understand why someone might be sad, happy, angry, or upset, for example. Things I’ve learned as a psychologist have also helped me to help others, and I really enjoy doing that.
Sport and exercise psychology has also helped me to understand why exercise is good for both physical and mental health. So this has helped to change my habits. I try to exercise most days, and I really go feel better when I get some exercise
