I believe in evolution, and the evidence is pretty consistent on the matter. Saying that there is some people who don’t some, religions don’t agree with it and argue a creationist point of view. Whether we come from monkeys, I’m not too sure.

I also think that the evidence for evolution is pretty strong. But there is still a lot we don’t know. For example, we are still finding fossil records of species of human that we didn’t know about before. There is much about our evolutionary tree that is still missing. We are also learning new things all the time too. Like we only very recently found out that many of modern-day humans contain DNA linking them with neanderthals, a species that we once thought were distinct from humans. So, while it is not my area, it is something I am fascinated by.
As for monkeys – humans are a different species. It is a bit like saying were cats once dogs. Yes, they are similar in many ways, and at one point in evolution they may have a common ancestor (going away back in time!), but they are now different species.

I do think evolution is real, but I don’t think humans were ever monkeys. Humans are a fairly new species that have probably been around for about 200,000 years. Although our ancestors have been around for millions and millions of years, it is possible that our ancestors shared similar traits with monkeys. I don’t really know much about this topic though.
