Where do I start?! I had a place for medicine at uni, but decided not to do it, but always knew I wanted to work in a health related field. So when I did my psychology degree and masters I always did health or clinical topics. During my third year I did modules on drugs and addiction, and just loved everything. During my masters my thesis was looking at alcohol addiction and self control. I really got on with my supervisor and he said about doing a PhD so I said yes. Fast forward a year and I’m doing my PhD.

I have definitely been inspired by my supervisors and lecturers. But also the fact the research I do could one make a difference for an actual person who suffers from alcohol addiction, I love the way it’s people related.
