      Great question,
I would say always be curious and always ask questions. Sometimes things seem obvious just because everyone thinks or believes something. But remember, we once believed that the sun orbited around the earth. When you look at it, it seems obvious, right? The sun seems to move around us. It wasn’t until some really clever scientists asked some pretty radical questions and collected some objective data that we learned otherwise.
So, always ask those questions. Report your data accurately and be true to the data. Be brave – somethings the different findings we get are the truly interesting ones!

I think the best advice I could give is to follow your passion! Working in science can be very difficult and competitive but if you enjoy it don’t give up! Also, some people assume that the only way to work in science is to be a researcher but there are so many options out there for different science careers if it’s something you’re interested in! This list gives a few examples of some of the wide variety of careers you can pursue with an interest in science…

That’s a good question. If you want to become a scientist then I would advise you to try and get as much experience as you can. It can be a competitive field. Have a look at the Nuffield Research Placement scheme.
      http://www.nuffieldfoundation.org/nuffield-research-placements
I have had a few students through this scheme. It is a 4-6 week placement during the summer holidays to gain research experience in science.
If it is psychology you are interested in then I would advise you to make sure that if you go to University then check that the course is accredited by the BPS. Most of them are, but do check.
      Good luck
